Winchester Network

The WinchesterSustainable Business Network aims to provide free support and advice on a wide range of sustainability issues and opportunities specifically to local businesses. It has been developed in partnership and in consultation with a number of organisations including the district and borough Councils, Chamber of Commerce, Business Link and private sector organsiations.

In the current economic climate, the value of sustainability activity has never been greater. Businesses can make real and significant bottom-line savings by reducing their energy consumption, cutting waste, responding to customer demands to improve environmental performance and minimising transport impacts, to name but a few examples. A steering group of local organsiations with particular expertise in these fields ensures that the programme of training and events is kept focused on and relevant to Winchester businesses.

We will be delivering a series of themed quarterly Network meetings where businesses can come together, learn from expert speakers drawn from across the SBP, find out what other businesses are doing and apply lessons learned to their own organisations through tailored workshops. Meetings are half-day and finish promptly at 12.00 to allow delegates to return to their businesses, although many prefer to stay on and network.

All Winchester SBN members are able to benefit from the wider support services of the SBP, including direct and telephone support, access to resources, training services and more. All of the SBP’s services are entirely free and carry no obligation. To join as a Network member simply e-mail us at
enquiries@the-sbp.co.uk and we will take care of the rest.
